• Been using Mailpoet for almost a year with no trouble. Suddenly has stopped sending out emails. System status has no error messages but no ‘pending’ or ‘scheduled’ despite 4 posts I’ve published in past weeks not sending. Have updated sender email from a gmail.com to branded email and done all Mailpoet requested verifications. Running latest PHP. Help!

    Hello,

I am very sorry for what you are experiencing. Can you answer me a couple of question, so we can get to the bottom of this.

    • What is your website?
    • Are you sending with our MailPoet Sending Service or with another method?
    • At what day was the post notification supposed to be send?
    • If you have also filed a ticket in our own support system, can you give me the ticket number of that request?

I have read your other message in this forum:

And it is NOT that the emails have been sent but not correctly reported. I have asked a couple of my subscribers in person and they have NOT RECEIVED my last 4 posts

I hope with the information to be able to dig deeper into your issues.

    Hi again @twotravelcats,

I just wanted to share some information about the bug we had with Post Notifications in previous versions of MailPoet, and how to move forward, in case this is the situation you are seeing.

I understand your Post Notification emails have not been sending recently, is that correct?

As you may have heard, we did have an issue with versions 4.41.x and 4.42.x of the plugin where this could happen. If you were affected by this bug, what you would see is Post Notification emails queued under MailPoet > Emails and showing as “sending” but never completing. Most people who saw the error saw the sent count show that almost all emails were sent, but not all.

Can you check under MailPoet > Emails to see if this might be the issue for you as well?

If it is, you would need to do two things to restore sending:

    • first, upgrade the plugin to version 4.43.0
    • second, you will need to move to trash any emails that are “stuck” in sending mode under MailPoet > Emails – this is the only way to clear the queue for future post notification emails.

Once both these steps are complete, future post notification emails should send properly. But if they do not, please do let us know so we can continue to investigate.
