Hello guys, I found the new plugin version crash the site right after activation.

Below is the PHP error message copied from the logs. The website is using WP 6.1.1 with PHP 7.4.

PHP Fatal error: Class MailPoet\WooCommerce\MailPoetTask contains 1 abstract method and must therefore be declared abstract or implement the remaining methods (Automattic\WooCommerce\Admin\Features\OnboardingTasks\Task::get_parent_id) in /home/paraisos/public_html/wp-content/plugins/mailpoet/lib/WooCommerce/MailPoetTask.php on line 62

Hope you can find the issue and release a fix soon.

    Thanks in advance,
    Marcelo

    Hey @kent-brockman and @wp_dummy,

Sorry to hear you’re facing issues with the plugin. Could you please let me know which version of the WooCommerce plugin you’re using at the moment?

Please note that we officially support WooCommerce from 6.9.0 and above. If you’re using an older version of the plugin, it could conflict with the latest version of MailPoet.

Hello guys, the website used and older version of WooCommerce, 6.5 or something. You should support a more wide range of versions as not all the owners can manage to keep things up to date, and in other scenarios, some have and old theme which dont receive updates and currently incompatible with latest WC versions. I think you are cutting off working posibilities to those websites when retiring compat with not-so-old WC versions. You should at least suppor WC v6.0+. I can understand you cannot manage to support WC 4 or 5 because it would be ridiculous, but 6.1 is not that old.

    Hey again @kent-brockman

We usually support the current version of WooCommerce and then the last 2, which gives a few months for updates. We have no plans to support older versions than that officially. 6.5 is almost a year old at this point.

Hopefully that helps! Have a great one!
