Mailpoet is not sending Emails

    Hi,

    Mailpoet is not sending Emails on my Website https://energie-werkstatt.eu. The Error-Message in the Backend is “Das Senden wurde wegen eines technischen Problems mit MailPoet pausiert: MailPoet API-Schlüssel ist ungültig!“, so it refers to the API-Key.

    But the API-Key is valid:

    Also, for visitors it’s not possible to subscribe. I think this should be the same problem (Error-Message: “There was an error when sending a confirmation email for your subscription. Please contact the website owner.”).

    I recently changed the website domain and server, because it has been on the developer-server. Maybe there occurred this error. These are the last entries from the error-log:

    I switech to sending with my own SMTP now, that works. Thanks for your help!

    MailPoet runs a CRON task to check whether the URL of your site is still associated with your API key. In certain site/server configurations, the URL returned by the CRON task may be different from your site’s URL.

    Here is why it may happen:

    • We’ve seen this issue on certain hosts, where a site has a domain name of example.com, but the hosting company triggers Cron to run on a different URL. This causes the site to interact with the Cron via example.com, but scheduled tasks were running on example.com.myhostingcompany.com or https://www.example.com (or something else). If your website is hosted with Dreamhost, for example, it’s known that they can dynamically change your site URL in wp-config.php, and it would affect the key check task.
    • Sometimes we also see it in the form of site misconfiguration, where e.g. the database has one site URL, while in wp-config.php there’s another URL set via SITE_URL or WP_HOME constant, two versions of your domain URL in the Settings, or any redirects in place.

    As you just recently changed your website domain and server can you check this with your hosting?
