QUESTION I PUT TO MAILPOET CHATBOT
I imported email, first_name, and Last_name into the Mailpoet list “WordPress users”.
They did not show up in the WordPress Dashboard under Users

    REPLY I RECEIVED
When you import subscribers into the MailPoet list “WordPress Users,” they will not automatically show up in the WordPress Dashboard under Users. The “WordPress Users” list in MailPoet is separate from the user accounts in your WordPress Dashboard.

The “WordPress Users” list in MailPoet is specifically for sending email newsletters to your customers/members who have user accounts on your website. It does not sync with the user accounts in the WordPress Dashboard.

If you want to view and manage user accounts in the WordPress Dashboard, you need to go to the Users section in your WordPress Dashboard. The subscribers you imported into the “WordPress Users” list in MailPoet will not be visible there.

Please note that importing subscribers into the “WordPress Users” list in MailPoet does not create or modify user accounts in the WordPress Dashboard. It only adds them to the MailPoet list for email newsletter purposes.

    CONCLUSION
This appears to make MAILPOET useless as an integrated “Email to my users” product.
Also – the three new signups are listed as UNCONFIRMED.

    Platt

    Hi @sloanish,

I’m not aware of any integration between MailPoet and Metagauss ProfileGrid, and I’m also not familiar with this plugin. However, I can tell you that the answer you received from the chat bot is accurate.

Any existing WordPress User should be automatically added to the MailPoet’s WordPress Users list. If you want to import new users, you’ll have to import them as WordPress Users and then they will be synced with MailPoet’s list, not the opposite. In fact, if you import a list of WordPress Users directly to MailPoet, once our plugin checks if these users are still there – and it will fail, because their accounts do not exist – they will be removed from your lists immediately.

So the recommended steps is that you import them as WordPress Users, and they will show up listed in the WordPress Users list in the MailPoet plugin.
