    I am trying to upgrade to MailPoet 3, but when I try to activate it gives this error message at the top of the screen in WordPress:

    MailPoet requires PHP version 5.6 or newer (version 7 recommended). Please read our ?instructions on how to upgrade your site.

    I have double checked in my cPanel, and my current version is 5.6.30.

    Why does MailPoet not recognize that I have the required version.

    I’m working on upgrading to a version 7, but in the meantime, just need to get MailPoet 3 up and running.

    Just got the MailPoet 3 update and was hopeful that it would resolve the PHP compatibility error, but nope, same exact error there and won’t let me activate MailPoet 3.

    I’m disappointed not to have heard a response back from you after 6 days. I see you have responded to some other questions that were posted after mine.

    Can you please let me know about this request?

    Just got update version (3.13.0) since yesterday and……..
    Impossible to activate.
    Same message…. PHP must be …

    My version of PHP: 7.2

    Impossible to collect email adresses cause no way to (re) activate extension.

    As i can see through differnet pages , I’m far to be the only one.

    Please dispatch urgently upgrade version that works.

    Sorry about the delay here! Can you install this plugin; https://en-gb.www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/ and then let us know the PHP version that returns?

    Thanks for your response. I installed the plugin you recommended at it said I had outdated 5.4.something….NOT the 5.6.3 my hosting said!

    I have upgraded to PHP 7.1 and was able to activate MailPoet 3.
