• Hello,

A client purchased Mailpoet PRO for newsletters, which now handles all outgoing mail. While this improves reliability, it stops WooCommerce from sending attached invoices.

Is there a way to use standard WordPress mail for all emails except Mailpoet newsletters?

If no plugin exists, can a custom solution be developed? I’ll consult my developers if necessary, but I’d like to hear your thoughts first.

    Thank you,
    Raphael

    Hello there @rabox66,

Thank you for reaching out with your concern regarding the handling of outgoing mail, especially about WooCommerce invoice attachments.

To address the issue you’re experiencing with WooCommerce not sending attached invoices due to MailPoet handling all outgoing mail, there is indeed a straightforward solution within the MailPoet settings that will allow you to use the standard WordPress mail function for all emails except for those sent through MailPoet (i.e., your newsletters and post notifications).

Here’s how you can adjust the settings to achieve this:

    1. Navigate to your WordPress dashboard and click on MailPoet.
    2. Select Settings from the MailPoet menu.
    3. Go to the Advanced tab.
    4. Look for the option labeled Send all site’s emails with.
    5. Here, you will have the ability to select the default sending option. By selecting this option, you ensure that all your transactional emails (like those sent by WooCommerce) will be sent using your host/server, while your newsletters and post notifications will continue to be efficiently managed by MailPoet.

By following these steps, you can streamline your email processes, ensuring that transactional emails, including those important attached invoices from WooCommerce, are delivered without interruption, while also maintaining the reliability and effectiveness of your MailPoet newsletters.

Should you have any questions about these settings, or if there’s anything else you need assistance with, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

    Cheers!
