MailPoet – two forms pop up

Hi @johnm243,

We had an issue with the pop-up form being loaded multiple times in some cases in the past. This has been fixed in recent versions.

Can you please check which version of the MailPoet plugin you have installed? You can check it by going to the WordPress > Plugins page. The latest version released is 4.14.0.

The first pop-up came after I moved the mouse pointer off screen and 2nd one arrived about 30 seconds later…

@bruberries with regards to my other issue that I was asked to continue here (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/mailpoet-no-x-to-close-the-form/), these are my notes after upgrading to MailPoet 4.15.0:

Hi @johnm243,

I’m checking your form now.

• You’re seeing two forms because the form is set as a pop-up AND a slider form: https://prnt.sc/S0Qpv0D2kA3S. Please choose one type only, and the issue will be fixed. To do that, go to the form editor, click on one of the types in the Form Placement panel and disable it.

• I can see the close button in the pop-up form, but it’s tiny. I believe you have another CSS that overridden this image’s CSS. To fix it, please add this CSS under Appearance > Customize — not in the Form editor’s CSS.

I changed the CSS and can now see the close button very well! However, the menu behind it opens up when I click on it:

Is there some way to move the top of form down? I looked in Create a Form with our Form Editor > Settings (https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/297-create-a-form-with-our-editor#settings) and didn’t find anything helpful.

When I changed form type, I hadn’t realized that it wasn’t a toggle and would allow 2 different form types to be selected…

I saw the message that cookies were deleted. I still see both the pop-up and the slider form: https://prnt.sc/IW6oAxMtC3tI

Firefox is my default browser so I tried it in a Private Window. Same thing. I then tried it in Edge, which I have configured to delete all cookies when it closes. Same problem!

Any ideas on how to fix?

Hi there @bruberries. The CSS you gave me fixed the size of the close button.

As you can see from the screenshot below, the close button is over the menu. Instead of closing the form, it opens the menu behind it!
