MailPoets Double-Opt-in feature NOT supported!

  • I have connected a Fluent Form and its fields to a MailPoet list successfully, which is good.

    BUT: due to GDPR here in Europe we are obliged to force the subscribers to confirm their email-address, before they will be added as “confirmed”.

    This legal obligation is called “Double Opt-in” (DOI) and needs to be implemented for user-registration as well as newsletters.

    MailPoet (as a european company) has a DOI-process implemented already, but your integration seems to not make use of it, at least in my case, where I have tested on 2 wp-sites on different servers.

    Instead, all new subscribers are added as “unconfirmed” entries and therefore they cannot be broadcasted at all!

    Please fix this, because it will help all your european users to comply with GDPR.

  • This is working now fyi, I just tested it.
    Make a checkbox in Fluent Forms with a logical condition to subscribe.
