Mails are broken

    Something is going wrong with the latest update. I have updated the plug-in on multiple sites. But now only the mail is no longer sent properly. As attachment you see what I’m receiving. I have this problem with multiple sites. Also the test-mail is not sending right.

  • I can confirm this too! The HTML is not rendering normally in emails being sent, instead you see the plain html code, like <br> </br> etc. I don’t when it starting happening, but after deactivated the plugin, the emails got sent correctly, with normally rendered HTML. So definitely a bug.

    1- Let me know which mailing service you are using with Post SMTP ?

    2- Are you using the latest version of Post SMTP?

    3- If possible share Post SMTP diagnostic test report.

    I’ve uninstalled the plugin on the affected sites, so I can’t give you the diagnostic test right now. It will probably happen on other sites soon though, so I can give it then.

    Anyways, I was using the latest version of the plugin and it was connected to a normal hosting SMTP, no specific service like send grid or any equivalent.

    Hi there. FWIW I believe I’ve encoutered this same problem with the addition emails sent have also lost their reply-to. Only happens on sites using PHP 8.0, works fine on PHP 7.4.

    Hello, I am now using the latest version of the plugin (2.4.5.) and the site is running on PHP 8.1.16. I’m still experiencing the same problem, so it’s not solved for me yet.

    @rockdesign Hi,

    Please Install this Beta version and Goto Post SMTP settings > Advance tab and Enable the “Broken Email fix” check and, test it.
