Hi! I like the plugin very much, but the E-Mails for the rating reminder are not working for me right now. I updated the plugin today to version 5.38.12.

I have enablet the automatic follow-up emails with “no verification” for specific categories and for all roles. I use the WordPress-Con planer and did not have checked the box for customer consent.

After I set the status for a order to complete I can see that the planed E-Mail is set up but customers wont receive the mail anyways.

So do I have to make any other settings or what could be the problem in this case? Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

    Thanks for using CusRev.

If you host the email template locally on your site, I suggest you use the plugin WP Mail Logging to capture emails that are sent from your site.
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-mail-logging/

Then check if the review reminder is being sent.

But sending the emails should work without an additional plugin, right? Thats just for monitoring it?

Two more problems for your information, so you can hopefully work on it:

    • The checkbox “Activate automatic reminders” is enabeling from time to time by itself
    • If I choose “Independently verified” at “Verified Reviews” mails also cant be sent. It allways displays that there is no user consent, but theres no checkbox for users to give the consent.

    Hi,

Yes, the plugin WP Mail Logging just monitors the emails sent from your site.

If you use the option Verified Reviews: No Verification, that means the review form is hosted locally on your site and our plugin uses the WordPress function wp_mail() to send the email. So it is possible that the email service on your hosting is not configured correctly to send the email.

    >> The checkbox “Activate automatic reminders” is enabling from time to time by itself

Do you want to turn off the option automatic reminders?

    >> If I choose “Independently verified” at “Verified Reviews” mails also cant be sent. It allways displays that there is no user consent, but theres no checkbox for users to give the consent.

Do you use a third-party plugin that customizes the checkout page? You can try to deactivate all plugins except CusRev, WooCommerce, switch to a standard theme of WordPress and recheck this issue.

Do you have a documentation, how to configure the email service correctly, so its compatible with your plugin?

    Hi,

We don’t have documentation about the mail setting on your site. You can use the plugin WP Mail SMTP to re-configure the settings https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/
or contact your hosting support and ask for help with this issue.

So what is the issue when you said The checkbox “Activate automatic reminders” is enabling from time to time by itself?

We haven’t heard from you for more than two weeks. For this reason, I’ll assume that either you are not interested in this question/problem anymore or it has been resolved. If you still require any help, please start a new forum topic.
