When uploaded to the public host, the address placed in the mail button using
mailto:[email protected] (of course this is just an example, not true email)
turns to : [email protected]. That strange string appear and so the email button turn to be useless. I did Deactivate and Reactivate the plugin and same result.
I am using Hostinger 000webhost.com server.
Interesting is that it occurs also with other plugins. Is the server is overwriting information, anyone could read anything. Same is happening with Paypal donation plugin widget.
    What then?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I’m sure that’s not the plugin doing that. If it’s happening for all your mailto links on the site it seems like something your webhost is doing, or something to do with how your WordPress install is configured to send mail. Do you have any mail related plugin installed eg SMTP? Anything else at the webhosting or theme level that could be transforming or redirecting mailto links?

As I say, definitely not the plugin, so best to ask your developer or web host for further help if you can’t see the culprit based on above suggestions.

    Hi Maeve!
I don’t have any mailer installed, I am just using email addresses filling the plugin, or coded in the pages using mailto. But what I noted is that there are many plugins that shows this problem in this particular host (000webhost.com). This happens anytime you upload a site to the public host from scratch (empty directory) using Duplicator plugin that installs anything you need to run the wordpress site built in any other place. Of course I asked the webhosting about that and maybe they could find something to correct it. But most important I learned that I could edit and build everything using this webhost environment. So I was able to correct all links to email addresses including those managed by the plugins. So this is a minor prob and was easy to correct. I am using sticky side buttons and it is running brightly. Thank you for your concern and to answer to me. You can close the case.
