I got a problem where the <main content> area ends essentially prematurely and treats a section of an article as a regular <div>, causing all sorts of annoying side-effects. One of those is applying a 60 px padding to the bottom of the content as per the settings, but since the content continues below, it breaks the flow.

Here’s a screenshot of <main content> highlighted, showing a section of the content not included. https://prnt.sc/f6kOgpx-jv_S

In the adjust settings, the author box gets added mid-content and the part outside of the main box gets duplicated. https://prnt.sc/loHyN-RJ-cDG

Most of the content is inside the article as should be https://prnt.sc/n7vEikgdUTV0 but it ends before the main which ends before the actual end of the article and main content.

I’m not sure what else to add, I hope the images explains the issue properly.
I am using Elementor (Pro), but this image here is with it all disabled, showing that isn’t the culprit. https://prnt.sc/taSomVmllJAR

Anyone who can help? Thanks ??

  • Hi @peowdie

Hmm… the only thing that I’m thinking that happens here is that some rogue plugin is modifying the output. It is not necessarily Elementor, so have you tried deactivating absolutely everything?

Also, are there any modifications done with custom PHP, or via the child theme?

    Thanks.

Okay yea so that’s strange. I found the culprit, unfortunately a third party plugin, and a very niche one at that.

https://prnt.sc/sPkZkWWQC1Y8 is with it activated, https://prnt.sc/_-gqALtvg-6H is with it deactivated with both main and article tag working as intended. Well, guess I need to dive down that plugin and see what the heck. Should have thought to deactivate everything at first.

    Thanks for the reply ??

    Hi @peowdie

Oh, glad to hear you’re one step closer.

What I can recommend is the following —

    1. Let the plugin stay active so the issue appears on Blocksy.
    2. With the plugin active, switch to the default Storefront theme.

If the issue also replicates on Storefront, then this confirms it is a problem with the plugin. If the issue does NOT replicate on Storefront, then it might mean there is a problem coming from our end and we might need to enable integration with this third party plugin. Just let us know all the details and we’ll try to replicate it on our end.

Hope this clears things up! ??

Hi @cteduard, it most certainly is the third-party plugin. It’s an affiliate feeder for a Danish company, hence the very niche part.

I have tried on 9 different themes, both WordPress 2020, 2022, Storefront and other very popular themes. The problem remains with the guilty plugin on.

I’ll have to contact the author, but rest assured, the issue is not on Blocksy’s end like I thought.

Thanks for all the replies ??

I’m marking it as resolved since the issue at hand is so very specific, that unless someone use Rexultz feed, there’s nothing to get from this.

    Hi @peowdie

Oh, I see. Well, unfortunately you’ll have to rely on the plugin’s support, as they seem that they haven’t taken into account some specific use cases.

I hope they’ll be able to provide a good resolution in the end.

    Have an amazing weekend!
