• Hi guys,

Just started getting the following error on an FAQ data thingy:

A value for the mainEntity field is required.

Tried going into the Structured Data tool, and it looks as though all is fine, but Google insists that it isn’t.

What should I be adding into the mainEntity field to make it valid?

The Question and its answer appear in mainEntity for FAQ. The Data is missing.

Ok, so how do I add the data?

Sorted – just binned the whole FAQ section.

Let me know if there’s a better way to do this.

Ok, so I set up the FAQ structured data again to see what this ‘mainEntity’ error is all about.

After adding ‘FAQ’ to the appropriate webpage, and then going down to the ‘Post Specific Schema’ settings to add a mainEntity to it, it appears that there is nowhere to add a mainEntity to an FAQ page – just ‘headline’, ‘tags’, ‘author’, ‘datecreated’, ‘datepublished’, ‘datemodified’, but NO ‘mainEntity’.

So from my previous enquiry, where do I add the mainEntity to an FAQ page?

Also, after setting up the ‘VideoObject’ schema on three post categories, they remain invisible.

Seems to me that the documentation needs a hell of a lot of work doing on it!

Have given up with this plugin and moved to Schema Pro.

    Thanks anyway!

I’m sorry Steve, I couldn’t reply because had a small fracture on my hand and couldn’t type.

I understand that you have moved to a different solution, but would you willing to help us fix this issue atleast for other people?
