    Hi @gwarsshay:

The first thing I need to note is that this plugin hasn’t been updated in a while and there are no plans to support it going forward – so I may not be able to offer too much help here.

That said, I do happen to know that this facility (setting the main events page as the static front page) does still work, at least with most themes. So, one possibility is your theme is doing something a little non-standard. Alternatively, another plugin may be conflicting.

    • Have you tried switching to a default theme such as Twenty Sixteen – does it work then?
    • What theme are you using (also, what is your URL)?
    • What version of The Events Calendar are you using?
    • Any other plugins present and have you tried (temporarily) disabling them?

    Thanks!

    Hi @barry,

Thank you for your information and that you’re supporting me with ideas, that can help me to resolve the problem.
I’ve tested some of your advices:

    – When I change current theme with the Twenty Sixteen theme, it works properly. I suppose that in this case it doesn’t work because of the theme I’m using, this is Enfold theme (https://www.kriesi.at/themes/enfold-overview/). However, this theme works with several skins and I’m using this one Enfold One Page Restaurant (https://www.kriesi.at/themes/enfold-restaurant-one-page/);

    – This is my web page URL https://the-hub.bg/

    – The Events Calendar version is 4.2.5, and I also bought The Events Calendar PRO version 4.2.4

    – I wanted to make sure that none of the other plug-ins will be an obstruction, so I enabled only The Events Calendar, The Events Calendar PRO and Event Rocket and disabled the others. Despite all, the calendar didn’t show up on my homepage.

I am looking forward, If you have some other ideas how can I fix this, I will glad to try them.

    Thank you for helping me

So the approach Event Rocket uses to get the main events page showing up in the homepage relies on a few assumptions about how most themes work.

Twenty Sixteen and the other default themes will work nicely here because they follow pretty standard conventions. Other themes – perhaps including Enfold – will do things differently and that’s fine, except it means some things like this just won’t work with them.

There probably is a way of working around this, but I suspect it may simply be the case that Event Rocket isn’t going to offer you a way forward here.

I am looking forward, If you have some other ideas how can I fix this, I will glad to try them.

The Events Calendar itself is constantly involving, so my best advice is to keep a close eye of future updates – particularly upcoming major releases – as it’s not impossible they will bake in facilities that will provide you with a different way to approach this.
