Main html page linking with wordpress page

    Hello,
    I currently have a normal html page that i would like to link up with wordpress because i have 2 pages that i have created on wordpress, the structure of my idea is


    Homepage    (Html,CSS)and when they click on the Gallery button is links
    to WordPress where they can view pictures and videos.

    Im currently new to wordpress so understanding how things interlink is of alien nature to me at the moment. if somebody could help me i would really appreciate it.

    You could do that. You could also make a Static Front Page in WordPress, put your HTML etc there, and from that page have a link to a blog-type page.

    Hi Ipstenu,
    Thanks for your support sorry it took time to reply, I was looking at the link that you have attached but im kind of looking to just keep wordpress for containing 2 pages which is the video gallery and photo gallery, I still cant figure out how to do it, i’ve signed up with justhost.com and using cpanel that provided, I have managed to upload my normal (HTML,CSS) document in the folder “www” and also created a folder called “wordpress” which contains the whole files for wordpress,the main homepage seems to work and when you click the button for the gallery it leads you to wordpress but as soon as you click on the page for the video gallery in wordpress it brings you back to the main homepage of just my (HTML,CSS)document which is not meant to do as its meant to go on the page of the video gallery of wordpress, i dont know if there is a conflict. Any suggestions would be great.

    You can do this a lot of ways.

    1) Multisite – A separate site for Videos and one for Photos

    2) Custom Post Types – A separate one for Videos and one for Photos

    3) Categories – … You get the idea.

    Organization options are pretty vast. You need to figure out which one YOU would be more comfortable with, because they can all be made to work.

    If think multisite sounds the ones im kind of doing, what I have done is

    a folder “www” ->Contains “normal Html/CSS file” then -> created a directory called “wordpress” and placed the wordpress files in there. But the issue im having is clickin on the pages on wordpress dont seem to work?.

    Sorry im kind of new to wordpress so still getting the hang of things.

    Bear in mind, MultiSite means you’re running two SEPARATE sites. You share login info, and plugins, but not CONTENT, so you cannot move a post from one site to the other. It’s like running your own version of wordpress.com
