• I am using WordPress to develop https://bedandbreakfastsinkilkenny.com

    I am using the ‘ocean-mist-2-0’ theme .

Mainpic.gif is the image which the template uses for its main image throughout the site. Mainpic.gif has a size of 840 x 261 pixels.

In my web browser when I access https://bedandbreakfastsinkilkenny.com, the Mainpic.gif seems to be stretched and displays with a size of roughly 840 x 1000 pixels. I need Mainpic.gif to display with a size of 840 x 261 pixels at all times.

If I click the Home menu (or About Us or Enquiry or Contact Us or Blog) the image goes back to the intended size of(840 x 261 pixels).

Mainpic.gif is only over sized when I first visit country side picture when I click any of my menu items the image returns to the correct size.

Can anyone give me advice on this.

    Thanks in advance.

  • That’s a .jpg, and it looked fine wherever I searched. Can you provide a scenario in which you know it’ll be stretched?

Every time I type in https://www.bedandbreakfastsinkilkenny.com into the address bar of my web browser mainpic.jpg is stretching to fill the whole screen.

If I click on any of my menu items mainpic.jpg
returns to its correct size. This problem is happening on 3 different laptops and also from a desktop pc.

    Regards.

    Colm.
