• Hey guys, need help please!

My main index page (www.networthmasters.com/article) can only be opened in firefox, not in IE (at least until just now). Can some expert help me comprehend what happened please?

    Thanks

  • Works fine for me – Firefox 2, IE7 and IE6. Coming up just fine.

Now I’m even more confused as I tried in several different computers running IE6 and 7 and they all crashed..
    Thanks anyway doodlebee..

I don’t know. Came up fine for me.

What error message have you been getting?

I just fixed a blog that had a similar setup and was crashing in IE6 and 7. Their problems were the Google Map thing and another ads-related script they were using (I can’t remember which one off the top of my head…let me see if I can find that…there it is. Code from “Kontera.com”)

I don’t know if you’re running either one (I thought I saw the Google Maps, though) but you might try disabling them and see what happens.

You’ve got a number of errors in your XHTML. Go to https://validator.w3.org/ and run it with your URL. You’ll see 78 errors. Many of the errors are minor. Others are serious.

I have this happening on my site too. I used the validator and had errors on the google ad scripts, and one from the theme I’m using. However, I have fixed everything that it found (https://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fdecantstoptasting.com&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0) and it still crashes IE.

Doodlebee, try refreshing his and my sites several times. I thought mine was fixed too… I cleared the browser cache, cookies, etc., and it came up a few times normal… but it soon started crashing it consistenty after that. I too have tried it from different computers and on different internet connections (home, work, wife’s work).

I also did a clean install of WP 2.3.1, and the theme I’m using. I just copied the wp-config.php to the new directory. So…. I’m pretty lost at this point.

    Somebod heeeeelp uuuuuuussss! ??

The problem might just be that your site is very big, which can crash browsers:
