Main menu items can shift vertically

    My main menu looks like this:

    Home Adoption About HRN Education & Resources Support HRN Contact

    Sometimes clicking on an item, the menu looks like this:

    ———————————————————————->Support HRN
    Home Adoption About HRN Education & Resources<———–>Contact

    or some other items move up above the menu. (The dashed lines are just to make the menu look right in this post.) Refreshing the browser window fixes the menu but is will happen again.

    This started happening when I did the following:
    – Installed Make Child Theme (After some customization of Make theme.)
    – Installed and ran Theme-Customizations-Cloner-master to get customizations into the child theme.

    Now, I’m getting the menu bug whether I activate the child theme or the main theme. I’ve tried deleting the themes and reinstalling them. It doesn’t fix the problem.

    The problem was caused by using the google font open Sans. when I replaced it with the default sans Serif font, the problem went away. I also replaced open Sans for text font because I was seeing some text showing as bold. Usually the single letter “a”.
