• The site s-rayinc.com has been up for several years, and I just started working with this client.

I removed an item that was not a page, but a category and tried to replace it with a similarly named page for posts (blog), but the Main Menu disappeared. So, I thought no problem…just rebuild it. Though all the pages are available from the left window, adding to the menu, verifying that I am working with the Main Menu, the menu name at the top says Main Menu, but when I click Save Menu, the menu structure disappears and at the top left of the page, I see these seemingly contradictory statements…
Please enter a valid menu name.
    Main Menu has been updated.

I retrace my steps, and the same thing happens, again and again. I tried the customizer, and the menu stuck for a time, but then went wonky again.

I seriously need help, because there is a press-release coming out, directing people to the site.

    Thanks!

    Urgently,
    Steve Keller

  • Hie Steve Keller,
Will you please be specific about your problem. I checked the website link you provided, everything is fine there.
    Thanks

It’s back to normal, but I had to use the Customization route to rebuild the menu, in order for it to not disappear when hitting “Save Menu,” on the regular Menu dashboard page. I would like to still remove the Categories designation on the Viewpoints(blog) page, but I am concerned that I will have to go through the Menu disappearance issue again.

Why does the parent/child theme only allow for one menu? Can you remove the page (Viewpoints) and save menu?

    Thanks,
    Steve

Well, CEDCommerce can’t get back to me on this until Sat. or Mon., so I have to beg for someone else to take a look at my problem.

    Thanks, and fingers crossed.

    Steve
