Hi. I’m having a problem with the header part in the main page of my site. It’s kinda strange to see that there’s a small gap between the header and the top of the page (only in the main page) while viewing in FF/Chrome/Safari which is even worse in IE. I’m not sure whether it’s related to the theme itself or plug-ins or…?
    (I’m using WP 2.8.4)
Main Page: https://alivtehrani.com (problem is here! (FF & IE))
Sub page: https://alivtehrani.com/links (e.g. for no problem)

Will appreciate if anyone can help. I’m not very into web development and need your help. Thanx:)

  • The only difference I can detect by looking very quickly is the existence of a class called .__noscriptOpaqued__ on your home page (which is used for body and the page div, yet is not existing for the links page you provided.

This is interesting to know. What should I do with it now n how? Will appreciate your time. Thanx

Make a copy of your index.php, and remove all occurrences of

    class=” __noscriptOpaqued__”

You certainly won’t break anything with this, if done carefully of course, and the copy of the index.php will allow you to revert back.

hmmm, I couldn’t find such thing in the index file in:
    wwwroot>> wp-content>> themes>> elegant-grunge>>index.php !
Did I check the right place or I’m lost?
    Sorry to take your time:)

    home.php then?

index.php is available, but the mentioned class: “__noscriptOpaqued__” is not.
    Thanx

and is there a home.php? Because if there is, it’ll overrule your index.php for the home page.

Another possible cause could be a plugin (or javascript) of some kind, however that’s speculation because I’m not sure plugins are capable of adding classes to <html> and <body> tags.

No there isn’t and hope.php file. However, many thanx for your time. I appreciate it, thought the problem still exists:(

I replaced the header file with the original file and it seem to be solved:)
