    Hello, everyone!

I’m quite new to this whole thing so forgive me if my question sounds a bit stupid.

I have a bit of a problem: every time I post a new post, I have to manually purge the cache to make the post appear in my main page. Otherwise, I can access the post if I have the exact link for it but my main page isn’t updated.

The only plugin I have related to cache is Speed Optimizer and I have the “Automatic Purge” enabled. I’ve checked pretty much everything but I can’t really find any plugins that might be interfering with each other.

Any help would be highly appreciated!

    Thank you!

    Hi @karenmansoldo,

There’s no such thing as a stupid question! ??

    In response:

    1. Have you tried Speed Optimizer’s “Exclude Post Types from Caching” feature?
    2. Are you using a CDN?

@generosus どうもありがとう! No, I haven’t tried that and I’m not using a CDN but I’ll reach out to the Support team and see what they say (@gpetrova ). Thanks loads!

    Hi @karenmansoldo,

Problem solved? If not, did you try the solution suggested above (Item 1)?

If Item 1 did not help, you may then have to add a category (e.g., “blog“) to your blog URLs. Currently, it appears you’re not using one. Once you add a category such as “blog” (e.g., https://mywebsite.com/blog/past-lives-review-celine-song-debut-feature/), you can then exclude from caching those URLs using Speed Optimizer’s URL cache exclusion feature. If you follow this practice, you may also have to change the WordPress permalink structure of your website.

Caution: Before you perform any of the above, please make a back-up of your website and use a staging site to confirm the above works for you.

    乾杯 ??

@generosus Thank you so much for your help! I’ll save your suggestion if I need it later on — but for now, after contacting Site Ground support, they, very kindly, figured it out and fixed the problem for me.

But I’ll definitely keep your advice in mind!

    お疲れ様!
