    There is one more question.
I am using Polylang plugin for multilanguage site.
Posts and pages on different languages (site.com/en/post.html and site.com/en/page) fall to the sitemap correctly.
But main pages in different languages, such as site.com/en/ or site.com/de/ don’t fall to the sitemap.

  • Currently working on a new version of the plugin, and testing it alongside Polylang too, I see these ‘language’ pages appear. This development version handles languages quite differently but it might also depend on the Polylang settings…

Please install the Development version from https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/xml-sitemap-feed/developers/ (download zip and upload via FTP, overwriting the current version files — or uninstall the current version first and then install the zip via the WP back-end)

Please report any remaining issues after that ??

    Is development version 3.9.9.18?
In new sitemap there are sitemap-posttype-page.xml, sitemap-posttype-post.xml, sitemap-taxonomy-category.xml
First of all I think that sitemap-taxonomy-category.xml is not a good idea, because most of taxonomy is in “noindex”.
Also I don’t see any “language pages”.
In addition, not only main pages, but also all pages and posts with “language” don’t fall to sitemap…

    Hi Baz11,

Sorry for not responding for so long. I’ve been very busy…

Do you have a link to your site so I can take a look?

About the noindex (meta?) on taxonomy pages: that is probably your theme doing that… or another plugin. In any case, the coming stable release is planned to have some options, among which will be the possiblity to switch on/off the taxonomy sitemap. By default it will be off ??

I am glad to see You here again ??
Now I’m using version 3.9.1. Because version 3.9.2. didn’t work correctly.
It works good, only “language” main pages don’t fall to sitemap.
I’m waiting for the next version :!)

It’ll be addressed in the next version. I’m still very busy now so not too soon. Please be patient ??

    Hi Baz11,

The new release features a separate sitemap for the language home pages. Please let me know if you run into any problems ??
