• Three stars because it does not run clean in debug mode, which is must. Even with debug mode off there are ugly warning is the login option is selected. Indicates rough work.

That said, the basic functionality works. It gives a list of restricted posts and pages in Admin Settings, and also the option to restrict in the page and post menus.

I have some pages that provide my ad hoc content. The Restriction does not work at all for them. It seems to just filter the_content, which is not enough. It should get in earlier, before the page is rendered. Rough again.

It is not integrated with the automatic menus. No way to make restricted pages invisble. Have not looked at posts on the home page, but suspect same issue.

I will stick to my current approach for now, which is to mark pages Private, and then give private_read to users.

    Anthony

  • Hello…interested in learning about private_read. Where, how, what..etc?
Thanks for any info. I have a member driven site, producing a public showcase of a niche community, and for members there are help and how-to pages that the non-logged in users don’t need to see. Perhaps this is an answer?
