Recenty, I ticked the “Check this if you want all visitors except those who are logged in as administrator to be locked out of the front-end of your site.” box and on updating plugins it went to maintenance mode but blocking me out as well. The message was black font on white, as expected, so I unticked the box and logged out. Today when I tried to log in the message came up straight away but this time on a grey background with yellow letters in a yellow square. I installed a back up from yesterday morning and have deleted the message as well as leaving the box unticked. But I see that there is an unseen image in the message box ie. P ? IMG
    I have purged cache.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

When you enable Enable Front-end Lockout feature you will not be able to login via wp-admin.php file. You have to log in via wp-login.php only with admin privileges. However if you enable Rename Login Page under Brute Force tab you will have to enter the secret word to log in as administrator.

Let me know if the above helps you.

    Kind regards
