Hi. I like All-in-one WP security but am having a serious problem with maintenance mode. I enabled it to test it, and it worked fine.

Here’s the problem. After I disabled maintenance mode, I can no longer access my site through the root domain. The site is accessible as normal through https://www.domain.org but not through domain.org. When trying just the domain.org, I get the maintenance message. Strangely, it’s not even the current maintenance message, but instead the maintenance message that was in effect when I tested maintenance mode.

I tried clearing and disabling WP Super Cache (as well as my browser caches) but still have the same problem.

I also tried disabling All-in-one WP Security but the problem persists.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, Maintenance mode would not cause the issue you are referring to. Your issue is more a redirect issue.

For example if you type domain.org in the browser does it stay as domain.org or does it change to https://www.domain.org? You need to tell the server to point to either domain.org or https://www.domain.org. Ask your host to check this issue for you. Also if you have a Google account and you use Webmasters Tool, I also suggest that you include the rule there as well.

    Kind regards

Thanks for the speedy response. You have to be right that there’s a redirection problem. Hostgator disabled all my plugins and the problem fixed itself. Then I re-enabled the plugins and all is good.

Can you mark this support thread as resolved.

Looks like the problem is a redirection issue. After disabling all my plugins the lack of redirection was fixed. I then re-enabled my plugins.

    I haven’t yet re-enabled All-in-one WP Security. If I have any issues when I re-enable it, I’ll post again.
