Falang has caused a major failure! I thought it was Woocommerce or my theme, but we investigated in depth and I’m now sure it’s Falang. The problem is that after I installed it the shop page was empty of products. If now I deactivate Falang, my shop page redirects to the home page and I cannot view it anymore.

It really looks like something is seriously compromised here. Please advice, because also my live site is broken.

    Hi,

it’s depends of the configuration of your site , can you give me a screen capture of

    the permalink page

    the shop name slug

The falang settings > Translate option> produts > options , the post type archive link need to be the same with tha shop name slug (and the translation of this page)

thank you always for the prompt reply. You can see my shop page here, with Falang active.

    Permalink here.

Not sure I understood your last tip, but I can see the text “Archive slug is originally: negozio. It is overwritten by Falang.”

Hi Stephane, here’s the screenshot you asked:

general options and product option details

Maybe I should have not checke all those options, I was not sure how it works.

If I put “negozio” in the link archive for both ita and eng, the problem is solved, it opens the italian shop and the english shop even if I have not translated anything yet. But then how would it work, the moment I will translate “negozio” into “shop”? I’m not really sure I understand what is the best setting.

    1. when you want to translate the products in english they will be visible translated in your shop page in english, you can translate them in Falang > Translate Post (filter by product) or directly in the product page
    2. If you want to have a link not with negozio but shop you have to translate the page Title and Slug

Here i have tranlated shop to shopfr to have a link like https://www.testsite/shop to https://www.testsite/fr/shopfr
