I’ve had a lot of flaky things happen on my server over the yeras, but this is by far the worst…

    Check out https://www.triplepundit.com

What the living christ is going on? On all pages I get:
“Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.”

It’s as if all my [moronic expletive deleted] posts are gone. I have restarted the server repeadetly and nothing fixes this. It it goes into Monday like this I’m in serious trouble.

Does anyone have a clue where to start fixing this???

  • Do you see any post in the admin area? This message means the database query doesn’t have any results. If you see posts in the admin area, you could check your theme files if any categories are excluded.

No – nothing in admin – that’s what’s REALLY freaking me out.

If there are no posts in your admin area, all your posts are gone. Do you have a backup?

    very funny!

I am dead serious. Always perform regular backups of your WordPress installation. There are plugins for that. Take a look at IDrive for example. This plugin backups both your files and your MySQL databases.

If I go into PHPMyAdmin… and lookat wp_posts, for example, I get:

“#145 – Table ‘./3p_wp/wp_posts’ is marked as crashed and should be repaired “

What the [moronic expletive deleted] could have caused this? How do I do a repair? Yes, there are backups floating around but I don’t know how old they are…

Looks like your database server had some troubles.

    Maybe this helps: https://deprecated.net/node/30

quit freaking out and repair your tables
    log in to host’s phpmyadmin
    select database
    check mark all tables
choose “repair” from drop down at bottom of page
    done

Thank you for putting up with my freakout… so bizarre. The problem had something to with the server filling up my disk space with something that’s currently a mystery. MySQL was therefor unable to write data and it caused the meltdown. I never repaired anything and now it’s working again. It’s frigging voodoo if you ask me, but thank god nothing lost at all…
