• Great idea but this plugin makes so many calls to the WooCommerce API that every client is being blacklisted from their own websites after they log in and then thinking that their website is down and annoying me.

Test stuff out thoroughly before suggesting people add it after upgrading your other plugins.

The overall idea of this plugin is great (no doubt they will fix the issues) my issue here is prompting people to install it – especially when it is clearly not ready to launch and has not been tested enough.

My week of hell continues. Will revisit this review once they fix everything.

  • True, strange that WooCommerce promotes this plugin ‘Test drive the future of WooCommerce. A quicker, javascript powered interface with exciting new features and reports’ while on the WooCommerce Admin page at www.ads-software.com the following is noted: This plugin is under active development and, as such, we advise you to first install WooCommerce Admin in a staging/test environment.

    A bit… contradictory.

@peterricci @josk79 thanks for your feedback, we take it seriously and feel sorry for any inconvenience this plugin might have brought to your sites or your client sites. We have been developing WooCommerce Admin as a feature plugin for some months now, and there are many stores actively using it without problems. It’s in active development and there might be issues in certain environments or bugs which we are currently working on.

@peterricci if you can provide me more information about which specific API calls are being problematic in your client’s sites, I will contact the rest of the team to make sure this is being addressed. I guess if you know the endpoint routes and whether that affects all users or only a subset of them, it will help us diagnose the problem.

    Thank you in advance.

The reminder to test drive WooCommerce Admin in wp-admin should make it clearer to users that the plugin is still under development and should be tested on staging, not to just install on a live production site.
