MAJOR site slowdown on archive page when plugin enabled

There is some bug in your archive page display. Other products in the category get slowed down to like 25 seconds per page load when they display a crowdfunding project in the “similar items” widget based on same category.

The actual crowdfunded product page loads just fine.

Our site has tons of orders, so I’m guessing your method of counting the funding level on the archive page is searching the DB in a very painfully slow way.
