    Hello,

I’ve been experiencing major slowdowns in my WordPress dashboard for several days.

What usually takes 1 or 2 seconds, such as clicking on the plugins tab to display the list of plugins, was taking between 10 and 20 seconds, in other words, 10 to 20 times longer. And it was the same for any action I did in the dashboard.

I contacted my host who after analysis told me that by deactivating all the plugins, the slowdown disappeared and that the problem did not come from the hosting.

So I had to find the culprit among the plugins.

I deactivated them all by renaming the “plugins” folder temporarily. Then I reactivated them one by one.

It turns out that “Image Photo Gallery Final Tiles Grid” is the last plugin I reactivated and at that very moment, the slowness started again.

Fortunately, I was not using this plugin in production and had just installed it for testing purposes.

I immediately deactivated it again, as the administration of my site had become unmanageable.

Maybe I’m not the only one with this issue, and I hope you’ll be able to fix it.

    Kind regards

    Hi @supercougar,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

We were not able to reproduce this behaviour on our end. Can you please only activate our plugin and let us know if you still encounter issues?

    Warmly,

    Beatrice.

    Hi Beatrice,

I did what you asked me to do reluctantly because I don’t like to deactivate all the plugins on my site.
I did it the other day exceptionally because the slowness had become unbearable.

Anyway, with your plugin alone installed, there didn’t seem to be any particular slowdown, and I was able to reactivate the following plugins quite quickly.

Slowdowns started occurring when I reactivated some of my theme plugins (OceanWP), namely Ocean Portfolio and Ocean Social Sharing.

From that point on, the other plugins took between 10 and 20 seconds to reactivate.

After reactivating everything, I found myself back in the original situation, which was unbearably slow.

So, of course, I deactivated “Final Tiles Grid Gallery – Image Gallery” and now everything is working fine again, meaning that the different elements (posts, pages, portfolios, media, plugins, etc.) open in about one second.

So there seems to be a conflict between “Final Tiles Grid Gallery – Image Gallery” and another plugin, but knowing that all other plugins installed without “Final Tiles Grid Gallery – Image Gallery” do not cause any issue.

I hope this helps, but I can’t do more than that.

    Kind regards

    Hello @supercougar,

Can you please send us a list with your plugins so we can test this on our end?

    Thank you,

    Beatrice.

    Hi Beatrice,

Here is a list of my active plugins:

For security reasons, I prefer not to display it here.

Let me know when you have viewed it so that I can disable sharing.

    Kind regards

    Hello @supercougar,

    Thank you for the list!

I installed those plugins and the theme on my end and unfortunately I was not able to reproduce the issue. I opened a ticket with our development team regarding this and we will take a closer look into it. Here you can see the progress: https://github.com/WPChill/final-tiles-grid-gallery-lite/issues/42

    Apologies for the trouble!

    Warm regards,

    Beatrice.
