The update to wordpress 5 happened automatically even if i had it set disable major release updates but enable minor release updates. Why did this happen ??

    Hi Pierre,

By default WordPress won’t perform an automatic major version upgrade (such as 4.9 to 5). So, it’s likely not something in WordPress that was automatic, but something external or manual; is it something your hosting company does? Or someone else logged in and did it manual?

EUM can only block automatic WP internal updates, not other types.

I had the same experience. We did not manually update beyond 4.9.8 and all of a sudden one of my client sites was at 5.0.2.

Easy Updates keeps goofing up it’s settings in different ways with the latest version.

As previously posted but going unfixed is when you disable/enable the Updates menu in the Admin Bar it resets the General tab settings.

I’m also starting to notice some potential issues with Themes set to select individually with themes set to off being set to Automatic on their own again.
