I am adding affiliate links to some images in the Advanced Gallery block. When I try to add ‘sponsored’ into the HTML, it kills the gallery. Is there a way to be able to mark these as sponsored? Thanks!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hey,
Apologies for the delay! Let me check with the dev team and determine if there’s a simple way to achieve this.
    Thanks for your patience!

    Kindly,

Thanks Hannah, it seems like it would be such an easy thing to do, so I keep trying and it’s driving me nutty. :0

    Hi,
You can’t edit the html of a block unless you want to keep that block as a. static html block. Basically while there is an option to edit html of blocks you can’t really use it.

So I’ve put in a feature request to add sponsored as an option for the custom links in a gallery. At this time the only other way would be a run a string and replace php function on the render block action. Which is to say unless you are a developer there isn’t an option.

Final note, yes i agree it should’t be this way, allowing simple edits to the html markup should be possible but Gutenberg doesn’t currently have a system for how to do that and allow you to keep using the block as a block.

Oh thank you, Ben! Yes, no stringing and php-ing for me. I will figure out a work around until this is an option. ??
