Make all links to NON-amp pages

Are you in Transitional mode?

If so, you can disable AMP-to-AMP linking via this code:

Yes im on transitional mode and my problem is the advertising loads soooo slow… maybe you know some way to improve this and make the amp ads get the same profit than non-amp pages…. any suggestion?

Im manually adding the ads and also using ezoic which doesnt know what exactly does….

@jorgitobg AMP ads should perform better than traditional JS based ads, with many publishers using AMP ads on non AMP pages.

While we can’t assist with ads setup or performance if you use a plugin such as Advanced Ads (with it’s responsive add on) or AdInserter you can ensure you have your ads setup the same between your AMP and non AMP URLS. That would make it easier to compare performance.

You can also use web.dev to compare performance, drilling down into the reports to figure out any delays. Alternatively if it’s just the advertising which your concerned about you can use the AdSense or ezoic support centers.

But also Im using EZOIC to manage the ads with their nameserver integration so I really doesnt have 100% control about the final code visitor receiving.

After some days working with “add_filter( ‘amp_to_amp_linking_enabled’, ‘__return_false’ );” I found several problems…. the redirections from /amp/ to ?amp urls which before this filter works…. now are not working:

Is this supossed to happens? I really need those 301 redirections from old url structure.

That URL is for a archive page so the /amp/ endpoint would not have worked.

Compare that with /amp/ for a singular article: https://hermandadblanca.org/a-quien-busca-alcanzar-el-consejo-arcturiano/amp/

You can see it does redirect.

To fix redirections for /amp/ non-singular queries you can use this helper plugin: https://gist.github.com/westonruter/6b7d3b168711ee03c4ee29b68c3719b2

Once you activate that you should see https://hermandadblanca.org/mensajes-del-cielo/entidades-arturianas/amp/ redirect to https://hermandadblanca.org/mensajes-del-cielo/entidades-arturianas/?amp as expected.

Tested with lot of diferent query paramenters… and working like a charm!!!!
