• Hi,

I’m new here, my hat is off to the WordPress team!

This is probably easy but I can’t seem to find the right way to define the question in the searchengine because whenever I use the word permanent I get info about permalinks.

Anyway, what I’d like is simply to assign one article the status of permant front page, first item. Just a general kind of hello to my visitors, some explanation about the site etc. How do I do that? Perhaps start with an article-page? Mess with the publication date (set it in 2010)? No luck so far with that…

Other than that, WordPress is the best of the four major CMS-systems I’ve tried yet! (I’ve also evaluated Mambo, CMSimple and Textpattern. They can’t hold a candle to WordPress, so far…)
