Make Blog Page The Home Page

  • Hello,

    I currently have my a site home page curlsandmelanin.com

    I want to make my blog page which is curlsandmelanin.com/blog into curlsandmelanin.com

    so when people type in my domain they are led directly to my blog and not my home static page that i created.

  • Did you try going to Settings → Reading and setting the Front page displays to “Your latest posts”?

    yes, but now i need the “blog” on my menu page to be directed to curlsandmelanin.com but since i previous had it as curlsandmelanin.com it wont let me change it.

    1. Go to Appearance → Menus.
    2. On the left should be a section labeled Pages.
    3. If you don’t see the page that used to be your home page, click the View All tab.
    4. Check the page that used to be your home page and click the Add to Menu button.
    5. You should now see a menu item for that page at the bottom of the Menu Structure box to the right. Drag that menu item up to the very top.
    6. Drag the sub menu items that were under the Blog menu item to under your new menu item.
    7. Expand the Blog menu item and click the Remove link to delete it.
    8. Click the Save Menu button.
