Make Child theme won't override Make theme classes

If I add a new class into the child theme’s style.css, then that class is applied to elements in pages and posts. But if I try to extend an existing style, for example ttfmake-button by adding a margin property, it is not applied.

What am I doing wrong? How can I extend/override properties in a Make theme class from within the child theme style.css?
