Make Event Notes not required

    Hi,

    I’ve just installed the Frontend Submit extension and love its ease of use.

    But there’s one thing that I can’t figure out: for my purposes the event_notes (or event_description) field is not really important, but by default it is required.
    I found out how to make a field required, but is the opposite also possible (i.e. make a required field optional)?

    Well, currently it is in the code, and adding events from the frontend without some info makes it difficult to review later.
    But in your case: just make the event_notes field a hidden field in the form (just use “view source” to see the generated html) and add some default text to that textarea field. That way you don’t show the notes-field but it will still pass the submit.
