Make exception rule – cancels out after editing post.

    Hi there,

    First off, excellent work! I couldn’t find a suitable plugin that would show a widget on a category page. Tried them all, before I found this plugin. This works fantastic!

    However, I came about a glitch:

    – made the exception rule active, saved the options.
    – edited the post en checked the option box on the side.
    – now the widget shows up perfectly on that post.

    However, when I edit that post again, the checkbox is magically unchecked. At first I didn’t realize what happened when I saw the widget not showing up anymore.

    But I can replicate it. It’s not a dealbreaker, just have to remember to keep looking at those checkboxes on posts. But it shouldn’t do that.

    Yes, that’s a known bug. It happens also when doing a quick edit. Until recently I didn’t have a fix for it ready. I have now, but still didn’t find the time to implement it.

    Just a heads up. I’ve implemented the fix for the save post issue. Quick edit is still open.

    Installed it. Checked it and it seems to work. Great work! Keep us in the loop if and when there is another update on the Quick edit fix. But for now, we are extremely happy!

    Hi Qurl, thanks for this widget, it’s really useful!

    I had same issue than photocoen. After editing a post that has a dynamic widget with exception rule active the checkbox is unchecked.
    I’ve download new dynamic-widget with fix implemented, and things go fine now till I edit post again.
    It’s a shame because it is a great plugin!!

    Are you using quick edit? Cause that’s still an issue.
