Together with Async JavaScript, my Site has achieved impressive GTMetrix Scores ( screenshot below).

    GTmetrix Scores

Any Tips/Comments on improving GTmetrix > YSlow > Make fewer HTTP requests D(60) ?

However, Google Pagespeed Insights is showing a completely different picture – a low score of 33 !!

    Google Pagespeed Insights

After de-activating, Autoptimize CriticalCSS.com Power-Up Plugin, Google Pagespeed Insights scored 65.

Ultimately, I want to achieve a high SEO Ranking for my site, scheduled to go LIVE next week.

    Thanks in Advance.

I *really* cannot give any relevant feedback if I don’t have a URL to be able to check your site mave27, can you share? ??

hmm, some external requests for CSS/ JS (e.g. fontawesome, from different domains), those cannot be optimized by Autoptimize.

You have some CSS in wp-content/uploads which as per AO’s default config is not aggregated, you could try removing that from the CSS exclusion list (but keep an eye on cache size).

You could also try the “remove emoji” option on AO’s “extra” tab, that would do away with one JS-file.

but your biggest gains would be in getting your “server response time” (aka “time to first byte”) down. try installing a page caching plugin like “keycdn cache enabler” or “wp super cache” maybe?

    hope this helps,

    Hi Frank

I have installed Cache Enabler plugin, although the GTMetrix Results are quite impressive, it hasn’t improved the ‘Make fewer HTTP requests’ score ?

    GTMetrix

Still, the Cache Enabler plugin is functional & works well Autoptimize.

The WP-Super-Cache did’nt improve the ‘Make fewer HTTP requests’ either.

The Cache Enabler plugin is a very good discovery.

    Thanks all the same.

I recommended Cache Enabler to help with the too high “time to first byte” which from a performance optimization point of view is more important then number of HTTP requests ??

Re. those http requests; the first part of my previous answers had a few tips for those, have you implemented that as well?

Are you referring to files below ( copied from Waterfall Chart):

Confirm if this is correct – link below ?

    Exclusion on Autoptimize

Unfortunately, no improvements on GTMetrix after taking into acccount the CSS/JS exclusions.

    Latest GTMetrix Test

YSlow:Make fewer HTTP requests Score still D(64)

    Am I missing something?

the 5 url’s mentioned are all external and cannot be optimized by Autoptimize. the only thing you can do is trying to find out which plugin adds each of those and see if you can stop that by reconfiguring said plugin or (if you can live without) remove the ‘offending’ plugin.
