    Hello Konstantin,
Love the theme! Great work on the design and its responsiveness.

It seems that any text used as the header successfully links to the homepage; however my custom header image does not. Any css or html changes I can make to change this?

And yes, I know changes must be made to the child theme, not the parent theme! ??

Thanks for any help you can give me. I appreciate it.

  • Something like this is done on the php level.

I think that Konstantin is working on this. I see some code in the header.php file that is commented out and sort of does what you want.

You can see it at https://themes.trac.www.ads-software.com/browser/expound/1.6/inc/custom-header.php (lines 63-67). Maybe it will be included in the next update ??

Hey there! The custom header is intended to be used as a backgound, just like in Twenty Thirteen, which does also not link to the homepage, however their header text and description are larger in size (width and padding, not just font size) so it gives a larger clickable area. I’ll try a similar approach in the next update to the theme, but meanwhile, you can easily add some padding/width/height with Custom CSS.

Hope that helps and thanks for pointing this out!

Hi Konstantin! Has anything changed in this subject? Can I make my header link to home page now?

Hey there, not yet. I’m still trying to figure out if there’s a way to achieve this without breaking existing child themes, probably not…
