Make Images Look Better in Slider

  • I just learned that to make the slider images look their best, use a LARGE photo. In other words, the photos on my site are 1200×1200, and then I also use the LARGE size template when selecting the image for the FEATURED IMAGE.

    I hope this makes sense. Before doing this, my images all look super out-of-focus.

    So just increase the size of your images, and upload, import THAT. You should be good to go!

  • I also had to work with image sizes to get the “featured image”, slider image, and post thumbnail image to all work well together. Took some time but basically you need a large image that has the important stuff (the stuff you want on the thumbnail) to be limited to a square area in the center of the image.
