Make images of latest posts slide on homepage

Please pardon me if my question sounds quite infantile, I’m new to WordPress.

I recently installed the colormag pro and everything seems to be working fine just as I wanted it. However images of latest post are not sliding on the homepage like I saw in the theme’s demo content.

Please do I need a plugin for that feature?

Please how can I let images from my latest posts slide on my homepage?

I wouldn’t like to use a plugin if the feature is already part of the theme, but if a plugin is the only means by which the sliding is possible, then I would like to have help with that.
