When I click Make Live on a training page post, I get a completely white page.

Also, when I create a new training page, I see no way to enter a url for manually creating the page. How can I do that? There are pages for which the Get It bookmarklet doesn’t seem to work.

There is an alternate way to view training posts and make them live. Go to the Training Posts menu item in the dashboard. This gives a list view of all of the training posts, with the same capabilities, plus bulk options. Try Making a Post live from this Training Posts list and see if it works.

Training pages don’t have a URL. You just make a Private Page in the dashboard and put in the shortcode [MyCurator_training_page] in the content of the page.

The Get It tool will have problems with some pages. They may be coded in a non-standard way or they may use various programatic ways of blocking access to their content.

No, Make Live does not work from the Training Posts page either. The only way I can get it to work is to click Quick and then Draft and the proper draft is then created from the Training Post. Hope you can get it fixed.

Also, the WP Press It tool works fine to pull things from the page I have trouble with. Seems like you could make the Get It tool work like it as well. You may look at a page that didn’t work with Get It: https://penews.org/Article/Doctors-Say-John-Smith-is-Bona-Fide-Miracle.

OK, I just figured out why the Make Live didn’t work. I disabled the plugin Default Post Content and it worked.

Yes, if it happens in both places its usually a plugin collision or very tight security from your host that is denying access to the process we use to make live.

I will look into the Get It issue. We use a service to try and capture full text, not just title and link. Sometimes that can be fooled by embedded javascript or strange html encoding.
