How can I give WP editors access to MEC in the WP dashboard? Although the editor role has the capabilites mec_add_booking, mec_bookings, mec_coupons, mec_import_export, mec_report, mec_settings, and mec_shortcodes, editors don’t even see MEC in the WP backend navigation. Our editors need to create, modify, delete events.

    Hello @martinsauter,

Unfortunately, this option is not available. But please submit your requests here: https://webnus.net/feature-request/, and if your request is already submitted, you can vote for it.

We would check them, and the one with votes would be selected to be included in the next updates.

Perhaps you could add that capability to your website with the role manager plugin.

    Best Regards

    Hi

Thank you for your answer. I have created a feature request as you have suggested.

However, since this is a mandatory feature for us, we have to switch to another event calendar.

    Best regards,
    Martin

    Hi Martin,

I was looking for the same option. You can fix this by installing User Role Editor plugin: https://nl.www.ads-software.com/plugins/user-role-editor/

Go to Users > User Role Editor. Select the role Editor. And add mec_shortcodes. Click Update and you are done.

    Best regards,

    Hi Jonathan

Thank you for your solution. I tried the same thing with the Members plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/members/), and it didn’t work. I didn’t bother to experiment with other plugins and switched to a different calendar in the meantime.

    Best regards,
    Martin
