Make Slider Show Behind Menu and make menu bar transparent

Hi there,
I’ve searched high and low but haven’t been able to get this done.
Here’s an image of the website so far, I think i will be able to explain better with an image attached of the website I am working on.

As seen in the screenshot above, the Slider area begins after the Top bar and the menu.
I’m trying to get the top and the menu bar which are currently white to be transparent.

After they are transparent, I would want to position the slider, so that it begins from the top of the page.

So, the menu bar will be transparent and on top of the slider (Revolution).
