  • Unfortunately, that option is not available in this plugin (as the whole point is that the sticky element will never disappear from the screen).

Maybe I can add this option in a future version. Do you have an example of how you would like this to work?

    Hi Mark,

I wish I had bookmarked some websites that have this feature so I could show you. But I think adding this feature, of course as optional, would be great. If you think about it, people who are scrolling up are more likely to be returning to the top menu or top search feature. That’s when they need the sticky menu to appear. Having it always at the top can be distracting. For myself, when I’m scrolling down I’m engaged with the content and don’t wish to see the menu.

I will try to find some examples. Thanks for considering this feature.

It’s a little different from my plugin I think. My plugin is all about having a sticky element (not just menus!), whereas your idea is more about menus only and not “sticky” but more like “within reach”.

I see why you want it though, and while I don’t think it would make sense to include it in the plugin, I’m considering creating a separate plugin for it now. Might take a while though, but it’s on my list!

As an example, any article at the Washington Post’s mobile website has the type of feature I’m referring to.
