Make sure to only add *Pages* to the Custom Menu

  • In case anyone else makes the same mistake I just did, here’s a beginner mistake to avoid…

    It seems that the custom menu can *only* contain Pages, not other objects such as BuddyPress menu items. I created a custom menu and added BP menu items to it, which resulted in the plugin crashing.

    However, when I only add Page items to the menu, the plugin works just fine.

  • Thanks for posting that. It crashed on me, too, with BP menu items. I would have stopped right there, but I saw your post and tried a Page. That seems to work fine.
