I want to make the small top left logo ‘hd’ / retina ready so it’s sharp on high res screens.

Here is my solurion:
Use a plugin “WP SVG images”, and place a SVG-version-logo file.
and add CSS like
img.custom-logo { height: 1.5rem; width: auto;}
