Make Twenty Ten menu bar span the width of the page

I am trying to make the menu bar in the Twenty Ten theme span the width of the page instead of being contained to the width of the header. Does anyone have code to do this? I want the menu items to be contained to the width of the header, but visually I want the colored menu bar to span to the right and left edges of the screen. Thanks in advance. ??
