Make users edit only the password

Hi,

There is no shortcode that allows users to edit only the password, but you can hide fields from your Profile page through the ‘Show in Profile’ settings for the fields.
Also, our Field Visibility add-on helps you manage fields on your Profile and Registration page.

Hi, thanks for the answer, so just to be clear, to do this I have to get the premium version of pie register + the field visibility add-on, with the free version this option is not avilable, I got it right?

In PR free version. you can show or hide the field on the profile page from “Show in Profile” in field settings.

oh, ok I searched better but it works only with custom fields, but still the mail keeps beign edited.

Email address field is editable. If you want to make it read-only or hide it then follow the below steps.

1. Go to your “plugins” directory.
2. Locate and copy this template file “pie-register/pie_register_template/profile_edit/edit_form_template.php”.
3. Go to your current theme’s directory. Paste it in same folder order. For reference, see here: https://prnt.sc/y456in
4. Now edit the template file “edit_form_template.php”. Find function addEmail() and change the code as per your requirement. e.g see screenshot. https://prnt.sc/y45h4r
